AV-100® Chemical Grout (Acrylamide)

AV-100® Chemical Grout, also known as Acrylamide Grout, has a successful track record spanning over 50 years in controlling groundwater and stopping infiltration. Renowned for its exceptional strength and durability, AV-100 is the go-to solution for mitigating water infiltration in a wide range of underground structures, including manholes, mainlines, laterals, lateral connections, tunnels, and mines. It accomplishes this by establishing a durable and efficient water barrier on the exterior of the structure.
AV-100 acrylamide is a chemically reactive gel with ultra-low viscosity; as a result, it can penetrate wherever water can reach. It offers the advantage of customizable curing times, which can vary from mere seconds to several hours. Once cured, this crosslinked polyacrylamide grout not only forms a long-lasting water barrier but also enhances soil stability, ensuring the structural integrity of the treated area.
USES, FEATURES, AND BENEFITS OF ACRYLAMIDE GROUT
- Stops water infiltration into manholes, sanitary and storm sewer mainlines, joints, laterals, tunnels, mines, and various other geotechnical applications and underground structures by stabilizing the external substrate.
- Ground modification/slope stability to prevent landslides, erosion, or any situation where site conditions or project requirements necessitate modification of existing soil properties.
- Controllable reaction times, ranging from seconds to hours.
- AV-100 Acrylamide has a half-life of 362 years at a 20% grout concentration, as determined by the U.S. Dept. of Energy.
- Offers higher strength compared to acrylates and greater longevity compared to silicates.
- Available for purchase with certification for NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 - Drinking Water System Components, in both granules and liquid forms.
To purchase and use our acrylamide and acrylic grouts, completion of the Safe Operating Practices Program is required.
