Avanti AV-215 Resin Rod is available in 5/8” to 2” diameters and can be used to fill cracks, joints, or holes in pipe or concrete structures. Resin Rod can be used in the EGP (Expanded Gasket Placement) Technique for sealing cracks, joints, holes, or slipline terminals.

1.	After the joint or crack has been cleaned, cut Resin Rod into easy to handle lengths. The Resin Rod must be twice the width of the joint or crack. For example, use 2” Resin Rod for a 1” wide joint.

2.	Pour enough water/accelerator mixture into a dry plastic pail to immerse the Resin Rod. Compress the Resin Rod to absorb the water mixture, then squeeze nearly dry.

3.	Pour enough polyurethane resin into a dry plastic pail to immerse the Resin Rod. Compress the Resin Rod several times to allow maximum absorption of the polyurethane resin into the open cell structure.

4.	Wet-out crack or joint with a mixture of accelerator and water. If the installation area is dry, water must be sprayed into the opening prior to inserting the Resin Rod. For “wet-out” use a sprayer with the same ratio of accelerator (about 0.4% of total volume) to insure better adhesion to the concrete.

5.	Insert polyurethane resin soaked Resin Rod into the crack or joint by “rolling” in so as not to squeeze out excessive amounts of grout.

6.	Lightly spray the installed Resin Rod with the water/accelerator mixture.
7.	Several layers of the polyurethane resin saturated Resin Rod may be required in a joint or crack. Allow for expansion of the polyurethane resin.

Immediately flush eyes with water for 15 minutes. Get immediate medical attention.

Wash affected area with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing.

Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, get medical attention.

Drink 2 glasses of water. Call a physician

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person.
